How One Nurse’s Secret Abortion Became a Life-Saving Story

By Karen Ingle - Posted at Pregnancy Help News : In 1985, a silent and numb seventeen-year-old girl named Michele tagged along as her boyfriend’s mother took care of the paperwork—first for her pregnancy test in a Missouri strip mall, and then for her abortion at a clinic in West St. Louis County. “The majority of my life I lived as ‘the girl who had an abortion’,” said Michele Menke, the nurse manager for Hand 'n Hand Pregnancy Center in Barnhart, Missouri. Only no one knew that secret but Michele, her boyfriend, and his mother. For decades, fear ruled her life—fear of exposure, fear of her parents’ disapproval, and fear that her sorrow would never end. But fear, she says today, is a liar. “Fear paralyzes you,” Menke said. “You can’t think or function the way you normally do.” Having grown up in a church-going family, she would have described herself as pro-life. “That was one of the hardest things: I knew it was wrong, but I just couldn’t think at the time,” she said. “

Rita’s Story – There Is Always Hope!

Posted at Word of Hope: My Way When I was a high school senior, I started dating a college student. I was intrigued by his ability to “do his own thing.” It wasn’t long before I gave in to my own rebelliousness. As our relationship grew, there were things we did that were not right, but the thrill of the moment seemed worth the risk. I liked my new-found freedom. I believed I was doing all the things I really wanted to do. Our wedding appeared to be one of joy. Yes, I loved this man, but, at the same time, I was filled with doubts. I knew I was getting married because it was the “right” thing to do. I had committed myself to this man in the most intimate sense, and now there was only one choice – to marry the man I had given myself to. There was no going back. If only I’d known then what I know now. God is a God of love. There is no sin too big for Him to forgive. But, I couldn’t see the truth. And so I found myself continuing to detour from my childhood dreams. My husband a

I WAS A DISNEY PRINCESS AND HAD AN ABORTION

By Deanna Falchook - Posted at Medium : I woke up this morning in the shadows of Cinderella Castle, to a phone call from a friend who knows my story well. She informed me of a recent tweet by Planned Parenthood regarding the need for a Disney Princess who’s had an abortion. We need a disney princess who’s had an abortion / We need a disney princess who’s pro-choice / We need a disney princess who’s an undocumented immigrant / We need a disney princess who’s actually a union worker / We need a disney princess who’s trans. In 1981, I worked at Disneyworld as a Singer/Dancer where my voice was used in recordings as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty for special events and ongoing shows. I performed on average 5 shows a day in front of Cinderella’s castle singing and dancing to “Some Day my Prince Will Come,” and “When You Wish Upon a Star.” At the age of 18, I became pregnant and had an abortion to keep my job as a singing princess. There was no pressure from the company or manag

‘They never told me’: Women testify of being deceived by the abortion industry

By Carole Novielli - Posted at Saynsumthn's Blog: Abortion has been sold to the public by Planned Parenthood , the abortion industry, and its friends in the media as a “right” for women, and as a marker of women’s empowerment. But in reality, many abortion patients say the experience was not the least bit empowering, testifying how they were given almost no information regarding the potential physical and emotional effects of the procedure, or regarding facts about the development of their babies. Beyond this, it is clear that teens who have abortions are at particular risk, as Planned Parenthood and other facilities do little to protect them, asking few questions and failing to report potential sexual abuse . Below are statements from several women, including many minors, who suffered at the hands of the abortion industry, submitted to the Supreme Court in the case of Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt , which the Court decided in favor of the plaintiff, an abortio

But it’s not a child!

By Béatrice Fedor - Posted at 400 Words for Women : The premise of virtually all pro-abortion arguments is that the little one in the womb isn’t a human being. We hear: “But it’s not a child! We are talking about a non-[ insert feat an 8 week old human being can’t perform ] clump of cells!”. So, let’s settle this once and for all. It’s not a child! Or is it? Are pro-lifers saying that the unborn is a three year old child or a ten year old? Of course not! We use the terms child, unborn child or child in the womb because of the mother/child relationship. If you are a parent, whether your child is growing in utero, a fifth grader or a College student, he/she is your progeny; your offspring, your descendant, the flesh of your flesh. We are talking about *your child* regardless of age, location or ability. Read more here.

Comedy Central Depicts Pro Lifers With “Jesus Hates You” Signs

By Geri Ungurean - Posted at Absolute Truth from the Word of God : On the Comedy Central show “Broad City” Hollywood shows the world just how much they unashamedly worship Satan. The Pro-Death camp has always been led by the Evil one, but because he is the Deceiver, this movement was very subtle in the 1970’s. After the Roe Vs. Wade decision in 1973, women were told in killing mills that “It isn’t really a baby right now. It is only a clump of cells.” Now, these satanically inspired women brasenly tell the world “My body – my choice.” They would have an abortion right up to the day of delivery. They claim that their consciences are clear. Here is a clip from the disgusting Broad City show: https://www.mrctv.org/embed/515971 Some women might have a clear conscience, or better said – they are void of a conscience altogether. But many women are left feeling empty and lost; always wondering about the life they allowed an abortionist to snuff out. Read more here.

Abort73: Publicly Aborting Twins on Instagram

By  Michael Spielman Published Sep 12, 2014   The Daily Beast published an article this week by Emily Shire titled, “ Wendy Davis and the ‘Good Abortion’ Myth .” Lest the title confuse you, the author is combatting the notion that some abortions are good and some abortions are bad. Though Shire applauds Davis for her decision to make her own abortions public—saying it was an incredibly brave thing to do—she takes issue with the way Davis did so. The problem with Davis’ confession, Shire argues, is that she felt compelled to justify her abortions as being medically necessary. In Shire’s mind, abortion needs no justification. Trying to explain why you had an abortion simply reinforces the notion that women need a reason for choosing abortion. They don’t, Shire tells us, and concludes by saying that, “until the ‘bad’ abortion stories are just as acceptable (as ‘good’ abortion stories), pro-choice advocates have a long way to go.” The reason I reference this story is becaus

Ministry Resource: 'After the Abortion … There is Hope in His Healing'

Order here. From Lutherans For Life : By Edward Fehskens, Linda Bartlett, Karen "W" For those who have had an abortion (or participated in an abortion decision), there are promises of hope from God. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3) “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” (Isaiah 43:25) As we come to Jesus we are in truth no longer separated from our God. We are completely forgiven as if we never sinned. We have the privilege of experiencing how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:18). “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” (Philippians 3:20-21) There is no more reason for despair … for there is hope in His healing!
