Over 930,000 Abortions Took Place in the U.S. in 2020, Report Finds

By Milton Quintanilla - Posted at Christian Headlines: According to new report by pro-choice think tank Guttmacher Institute, over 930,000 abortions were performed in the United States in 2020, indicating a spike from three years earlier. The findings of the report, which was released last week, show that more than 930,000 pregnancies were terminated in 2020, representing an 8 percent increase from 862,320 abortions in 2017. A 7 percent increase in the abortion rate was also seen among women ages 15-44, increasing from 13.5 percent per 1,000 women in 2017 to 14.4 percent per 1,000 women in 2020. Guttmacher, a former Planned Parenthood affiliate, found that in 2020, one in five pregnancies ended due to abortion. This finding represented a 12 percent increase between 2017 and 2020, with the abortion ratio rising from 18.4 percent to 20.6 percent. Read more...

Some people have jumped to the conclusion that abortion is the unforgivable sin, because murder is one of the most heinous of sins and abortion has been considered a form of murder. A Tribute to Steve Wetzel: Missionary to the Unborn

Approximately six months ago on December 24th of 2021, Steve Wetzel, founder of Missionaries To The Unborn , went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  When Steve went to be with the Lord, I was watching my own father die. Frankly, I just didn't have the words to express my feelings about Steve who often counseled me on how to deal with pro-aborts and wicked people at the abortion mill until now. I hold him in highest regard. He was a true hero for the Unborn and one who remained faithful until the end. He was a man who spoke the truth and lived an honorable life putting others first. Steve  will never be forgotten. I can only imagine how many lives he saved and touched during his time in ministry on this earth. I can also imagine the Lord saying "Well done, my faithful servant."  Below is Steve's obituary which begins with "Warrior down." Americans’ views on the morality of abortion remain mixed in the days leading up to a Supreme Court decision that could overturn Roe v. Wade , but a majority favor restrictions that go beyond those currently allowed, according to a new study from the Land Center for Cultural Engagement at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary conducted by Lifeway Research .
