In Canada, Euthanasia for “Mature” Minors?

By John Stonestreet and Kasey Leander - Posted at Breakpoint: In 2016, Canada legalized euthanasia through the euphemistically titled Medical Aid in Dying (or MAiD). Since passing, the number of Canadians who either “enthusiastically” or “cautiously” support the practice has risen slightly from 75% to 80%. The response from communities representing those with disabilities, however, has remained consistently opposed. Their fears, that Canada’s end-of-life policies would prove to be only the cliff edge of a moral abyss, have proven to be largely accurate.  As Maria Cheng of the Associated Press has reported, Canada “arguably has the most permissive euthanasia rules [in the world.]” Just last year, over 10,000 lives were legally taken, an increase of a third from the year before. Patients can request aid in dying without informing family members and for any reason, including, beginning in 2023, mental health issues and not just physical suffering. Nazis And Eugenics Brought Us Chemical Abortion: Here’s Proof

By Rachel Schroder - Posted at The Federalist: Eugenic leaders laid the groundwork for today’s abortion industry, the majority of which in the U.S. is conducted through chemical abortion. Chemical abortion is the backup plan of the abortion industry post-Roe, but it shields a ghastly history. The demand for this dangerous drug is rising in the U.S. despite its four times higher complication rate than surgical abortion and a jaw-dropping reality: the chemical abortion drug is connected to Nazi Germany. The affiliates of those who killed innocent children in the Holocaust introduced to our county the drug that is today killing innocent preborn children and numerous mothers. Pro-life activists often argue that the dehumanization of Jews by the Nazis and the dehumanization of the preborn by the abortion industry are philosophically similar phenomena. Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger was a relentless racist . However, few know the true historical relationship between the Nazi

California Amendment Would Create Right to Kill Babies in Abortions Up to Birth

By Micaiah Bilger - Posted at Life News : California is in danger of passing a radical pro-abortion measure that would enshrine the “right” to abort an unborn baby for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy into its state constitution. The pro-abortion amendment, Proposition 1, will be on the November ballot for voters’ consideration after the state legislature passed it in June . A new poll from the University of California Berkeley shows it passing by a strong majority – likely because voters do not understand just how radical it is. According to the Daily Kos , the poll found massive support for the amendment, with 71 percent of voters planning to vote “yes” and 18 percent planning to vote “no.” If it passes, pro-life leaders warn that California will become like North Korea and China where late-term abortions are legal even when the mother’s health is not in danger and the baby is viable and healthy. Florida Suspends Abortion Clinic's License after Abortionist Severely Injures 3 Women

By Milton Quintanilla - Posted at Christian Headlines : A Florida abortion clinic's license has been suspended after three women were injured in separate procedures by an abortionist who lacked medical experience and gynecological surgical training. According to CBN News , Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration issued an emergency suspension of the American Family Planning clinic license in May after three women were injured during individual procedures conducted by Dr. Christopher Saputa. One abortion was performed on March 23, another on April 28, and the third on May 5. On July 13, the Florida State Department of Health published a 35-page report calling Saputa's practice as a medical doctor "an immediate, serious danger to the health, safety, or welfare of the citizens of the State of Florida." The Christian Institute: Archie Battersbee

Published August 12, 2022  The Christian Institute has not been involved in the tragic case of Archie Battersbee. We can only reflect on what is in the court judgments, media coverage and other comment in the public domain. Archie was found unconscious and not breathing by his mother on 7 April 2022. He was rushed to hospital, where he received further medical attention, but never regained consciousness. After a legal battle, in which Archie’s family were supported by the Christian Legal Centre, his life support was removed on 6 August. First and foremost, we extend our sympathy to Archie’s family. They have been through a harrowing ordeal, and we pray that they will know God to be the Father of compassion and God of all comfort. The case was highly complex. There were numerous court hearings over several months, and reams of medical evidence. One thing was clear: trust between the family and key medical staff sadly broke down. God works good out of bad from pregnancy center attacks – Communities step up

By Patty Knap - Posted at Pregnancy Help News: What good could possibly come out of the ongoing pro-abortion attacks on life-saving pregnancy help centers? It might be hard to imagine, but often the response to the hatred, vandalism, fire bombing, spray painting, glass breaking, and false claims about pregnancy centers in recent months has had a positive element. Pregnancy Help News reached out to some centers targeted by these attacks to find out what response they've seen from their local communities. What’s been happening has been nothing short of inspiring as communities across the U.S. have come forth to support pregnancy help centers. In Asheville, N.C., Mountain Area Pregnancy Services was attacked on June 7. The phone there hadn't stopped ringing with offers of help in the subsequent weeks. "From the morning of the attack, our center has received hundreds of phone calls from individuals, churches & businesses asking if we needed help cleaning up," said Kr

God Personally Cares for Children in the Womb and Prescribes Punishment for Aborting Them, Rewards for Protecting Them

By Grant Van Leuven - Posted at Place for Truth : Commenting on Exodus 21 and capital offenses, Umberto Cassuto notes that “The Torah wishes to affirm and establish the principle, in the name of Divine law, that human life is sacred, and whoever assails this sanctity forfeits his own life – measure for measure.” [1] The civil right of human liberty was emphasized first in this chapter, and is followed by upholding the value of human life . We must respect and protect all lives; [2] and according to Exodus 21:22-23 , this includes the defenseless infant maturing in mother’s womb. If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Those who wrongly induced risky premature labor were to cover the consequential costs—what’s more, perpetrators who

Pregnancy Centers Network Fights to Reverse Chemical Abortions

By Kim Roberts - Posted at Ministry Watch: As Midsy drove home from the abortion clinic, she began to regret her decision to take the first dose of a chemical abortion regimen. “The drive home, I was just sick about what I just did and the thought that I was actually killing a baby with a heartbeat inside me. I went home and just cried and cried and knew I needed to seek help.” But treatment she received through the Abortion Pill Rescue Network (APRN) reversed the procedure, saving the life of her son Tig, who was born at 31 weeks in the fall of 2016. In 2000, there were virtually no chemical abortions, Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International, told MinistryWatch. But that same year, the Federal Drug Administration approved RU-486, a two-step process using mifepristone and misoprostol, to chemically induce abortions. According to data gathered by the American Life League, Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, increased its abortion pill facilities fr

Abortion is like slavery – just not in the way Kamala Harris thinks

By Cassy Fiano-Chesser - Posted at LiveAction: Published July 24, 2022 Vice President Kamala Harris spoke Monday at the NAACP’s 113th convention, where she compared the overturning of Roe v. Wade to slavery. After Roe v. Wade was overturned, Harris argued — in front of a room full of Black Americans — that this is a sign that the government is claiming ownership over women’s bodies. “For the first time in generations, the United States Supreme Court — the highest court of our land, the former court of Thurgood Marshall — took away a constitutional right that had been recognized, from the people of America, from the women of America,” she said. “We know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies.” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre later affirmed Harris’ argument in a briefing later the same day. “She is correct. Today’s decisions are criminalizing doctors and essentially taking the rights away from women, taking the freedom away from wo
