Abortion Doesn’t Just Kill The Child, It Psychologically Kills The Mother

By Stella Morabito - Posted at The Federalist: No amount of denial from pro-choicers can change the fact that many post-abortive mothers carry the grief of a severed parent-child bond with them. As human beings, we all have preferred realities that live in our heads. It’s natural to think everybody else should adopt our personal preferences because then, at least to us, it seems our personal lives would be easier. When something conflicts with our preferred reality, we tend to go into denial about it. This is especially true for major and irreversible actions––those really big gaps between our preferred reality and the facts that can’t be reversed. Hence, denial, and a lot of it. So it is with abortion. The illusion of choice is that abortion doesn’t hurt anybody. Women who openly regret their abortions shatter that illusion. They shine light on the truth that the act of abortion is deeply damaging to women, as well as lethal to children. This frightens pro-abortion activists

Shock: More than half of abortions in Medicaid-coverage states are taxpayer funded

Image Source: Saynsumthn's Blog By Carole Novielli - Posted at Saynsumthn's Blog: The American public is told that their tax dollars do not fund abortion, but this is false. At the federal level, despite measures like the Hyde Amendment, which prohibit federal dollars from paying for abortions, taxpayers still fund  abortions in certain instances. “Federal financial participation (FFP) is only available for abortions performed to save the life of the mother or to terminate pregnancies resulting from rape or incest,” a Medicaid spokesperson previously told Live Action News. But this amounts to more than what it sounds like. According to Medicaid.gov , in 2016 alone, federal dollars were used to pay a total of nearly $50,000 for abortions at the federal level and $31,000 at the state level. However, this figure was down substantially from previous years. Continue reading here.

'She was my mom"

By Zac Minton - Posted at Baptist Press : SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (BP) -- Sadness. Hurt. Brokenness. Tensions. Abortion. Suicide. My heart is heavy. I know people have many different ideas and I'm not oblivious to think that everyone believes like me. Really, I'm sure many people think I'm crazy about how I live my life. My wife and I quit our six-figure jobs to rely on God to help us start churches in the Northwest part of the country. I know folks may not agree on everything, but one thing I think we can agree on is that God can cause good things to come from hard and tough situations. Check this out. In 1985 a woman in Arkansas had to face a big decision. She found out she was pregnant. Her dad was a well-known pastor. Shame, guilt and regret flooded her soul. What to do. She had to decide whether to have the baby. She didn't want to bring shame to family members so she considered an abortion. She felt convicted and couldn't go through with it. She had

'A Sad and Evil Day': New York Legalizes Abortion Up to Baby's Birth Day on Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

By Emily Jones - Posted at CBN News : 'The law erases New York's previous limitations on abortion which restricted the fatal procedure past 24 weeks.' New York legislators cheered and applauded Tuesday night after the state Senate removed restrictions on late-term abortions, allowing unborn babies to be aborted on the day of birth. The Reproductive Health Act passed with a 38-28 vote and was signed into law by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D). "Today we are taking a giant step forward in the hard-fought battle to ensure a woman's right to make her own decisions about her own personal health, including the ability to access an abortion," Gov. Cuomo said. Read more here.

Dr. Rand Paul Honors 2019 March for Life, Has Reintroduced Legislation to Defend Life

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) issued the below statement honoring the annual March for Life and discussing the Life at Conception Act and his legislation prohibiting federal funds from going to Planned Parenthood, both of which he reintroduced on Wednesday: “Each year, the March for Life calls on the powerful to protect life at its most helpless. What we say about the value of human life fundamentally impacts who and what we will be as a nation. In recognition of this, I have reintroduced the Life at Conception Act to ensure the unborn receive equal protection under the law, along with legislation to end forced taxpayer support of Planned Parenthood. May the message heard today and the marchers’ passionate dedication inspire change to reaffirm this most basic of rights,” said Sen. Paul. S. 159, the Life at Conception Act, which has 12 cosponsors, does not amend or interpret the Constitution but simply relies on the 14th Amendment, which specifically auth

Baby-saving ministry ready to extend its reach

Justin Phillips takes a fulfilling moment to hold one of the lives saved through the ONElife for Life outreach in Flint, Mich. (Baptist Press) By Grace Thornton - Posted at Baptist Press : FLINT, Mich. (BP) -- Justin Phillips said it's the best and worst thing he's ever done with his life. Every day, he stands across the strip mall parking lot from a door marked simply G-3422. It's sandwiched between two dollar stores. Every week, 20 to 30 babies are aborted there. "We're out there pleading with moms and dads to have mercy on their child, and we'll help," said Phillips, a full-time missionary with ONElife for Life , a ministry of ONElife Church in Flint, Mich. Since ONElife for Life began in May 2016, dozens of babies that they know of have been saved out of G-3422. And the ministry has grown, said Eric Stewart, pastor of ONElife Church and president of ONElife for Life. They've acquired a building next to the strip mall that will be a pregnanc

It Took 224 Years To Abolish U.S. Slavery. Overturning Roe Has Just Begun

By Brenna Lewis - Posted at The Federalist: Roe v. Wade turns 46 this year, an age that may seem daunting to a vast generation of young pro-life advocates like myself. After all, we are the first few generations who have only known legalized abortion. Those who understand and respect the science regarding the preborn have had to live our entire lives with the knowledge that abortion has eliminated the equivalent of 18 percent of the current U.S. population. We’ve had to deal with a sort of “survivor’s guilt,” wondering why we are here while others are not. But as the battle for life wages on, pro-life activists and missionaries can draw inspiration from the generations of civil rights heroes who came before us and made sure that the only thing needed to grant us human rights is our humanity. The issue of abortion is not over, even as abortion advocates seem to increasingly rely on pushing the idea that pro-lifers should just “get over it” because legislation and Supreme Court r

Parents carry banner for son’s dying wish of abolishing abortion in Texas

Posted at SAYNSUMTHN’S BLOG: The parents of a deceased teen are carrying on his legacy to see his dying wish of ending abortion come true. On August 26, 2018, Rusty and Kendra Thomas lost their beloved son Jeremiah Thomas at the age of sixteen, after his body succumbed to cancer. This amazing young man spent his final days and hours on this earth pleading for the lives of the unborn. As a result of Jeremiah’s dying wish, the Governor of his home state of Texas, where the Roe v. Wade court case on abortion originated , made a promise to Jeremiah, “to outlaw abortion altogether in the State of Texas,” which has yet to come true. Jeremiah’s passion for protecting babies whose lives were targeted for violent death due to the legalization of abortion grew in the months preceding his diagnosis. But, after Jeremiah learned that his own days were numbered, he doubled down on his fight to see abortion abolished and innocent lives protected. Continue reading here.

As employees speak out, Planned Parenthood’s mask begins to crack

By Carole Novielli - Posted at LiveAction :  A new phenomenon appears to be taking place at Planned Parenthood. In what was a shock to many, in 2018, political activist president Cecile Richards suddenly announced her resignation, followed by that of VP Dawn Laguens and VP of Communications, Kevin Griffis, among others. Planned Parenthood hired ER doctor Leana Wen — who has called abortion “health care” — to replace Richards, and vowed  that abortion will be its focus in 2019. But at the same time, employees of the so-called “women’s rights organization” are spilling long-held secrets and exposing inner workings and toxic attitudes of the organization, founded 100 years ago by eugenicist Margaret Sanger . While these revelations might come as a surprise to pro-choicers, pro-lifers know that the organization’s roots have been rotten since its inception. Lower level staffers revolt against Planned Parenthood’s corporate greed While Planned Parenthood as a corporation was busy
