Obituary for Jonathan Conrad Barros

Jonathan Conrad Barros of Sanford, Florida went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He was 69. He was born in Toronto, Canada to the late David S. and Elsie Barros. He grew up in Garden Grove, California, and later relocated to Central Florida.

John proudly served his country in the US Navy in Vietnam on the USS Chicago. After his military service, John worked much of his life in the construction business until he was called to the ministry to evangelize to mothers and their unborn children.

He met Rebecca in 2014 and after seven years of prayerful support of his ministry, God deepened their relationship in 2021 and were married on June 11, 2022. John loved his church, enjoyed saltwater fishing, and was a huge fan of the Florida Gators.

John is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife, Rebecca; children, Matthew Barros, Charis Eidenmueller (David), Jaclyn Persson (Jon), Jesse Roberts, Rachel Roberts, Jeremy Barros, Kara Martin, and Kyla Martin; brother Bruce Barros (Julie); sisters, Darlene Saavedra, and Carolyn Ross (Michael); and 3 grandchildren, Breydon Raine, Lily Persson, and Oliver Persson.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Andrews Chapel, Sanford.

  1. I will deeply miss John and will always cherish the times I was blessed to minister along side him at the mill. We both attended Morningside Elementary School in Garden Grove, CA ... about 15 years apart. Looking forward to moving back to Florida and standing in the spot where John stood for so many years, ministering to abortion bound mammas. Thank you John. You are sorely missed!
