I suppose being a survivor adds difficulty to a lot of areas in life, this being no exception. For myself being a rape survivor only solidifies my prolife position. Planned Parenthood Reports Increase in Abortions and Taxpayer Funding

Planned Parenthood released its 2018-2019 annual report over the weekend. The abortion giant reported that 37 percent of their annual income comes from taxpayer funding. Planned Parenthood affiliates received roughly $616.8 million in taxpayer money from government grants, contracts, and Medicare managed care plans. The annual amount Planned Parenthood receives from taxpayer funding represents a 9.4 percent increase ($53 million) from the previous year and a 27 percent increase since 2010 . Planned Parenthood reported nearly $1.64 billion in income and $2 billion in net assets. They saw a 6 percent dip in private donations from the previous year pulling just over $591 million. According to Worldometers , which tabulates global statistics on abortion procedures based on the most current available figures from the World Health Organization, 40 to 50 million abortions are performed annually worldwide. The website notes that in the United States, approximately half of pregnancies are "unintended" with four in 10 ending in an abortion, amounting to over 3,000 abortions being performed every day. Not including miscarriages, 22 percent of all pregnancies end in abortion. Globally, around 125,000 abortions happen every day. The figures come following an increased push in Southern and Midwestern state legislatures in the U.S. to save lives by setting limits on abortion and enforcing health and safety standards for clinics. By Dartunorro Clark - Posted at NBC News : Over 200 members of Congress, most of them Republican men, asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to consider overturning two landmark abortion rights cases ahead of oral arguments in a Louisiana abortion case scheduled for March. The lawmakers — 38 senators and 168 House members — filed an amicus brief urging the court to "reconsider" the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortions across the nation, as well as the court's 1992 ruling in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which upheld Roe v. Wade and barred states from placing an "undue burden" on access to abortions. Two Democrats, Reps. Daniel Lipinski of Illinois and Collin Peterson of Minnesota, joined the brief. At issue is Louisiana's Unsafe Abortion Protection Act , which was passed in 2014 and requires any doctor offering abortion services to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles.
