Cleveland Right to Life celebrates incremental child-murder "regulation" bill

Columbia Christians for Life ( CCL ) aka Christians for Life and Liberty ( CLL ) Columbia, South Carolina November 19, 2018 Cleveland Right to Life celebrates incremental child-murder "regulation" bill - Fwd: BREAKING: Heartbeat Bill Passes With Veto Proof 60 Votes! ______________________________________________ ______________________________________________ Cleveland Right to Life is part of the so-called "Personhood Alliance" [?], but also supports legislation which incrementally "regulates" the murder of children in the womb, such as this so-called "Heartbeat Bill" in Ohio which does not Establish Justice for pre-birth human beings at fertilization. Are members of the "Personhood Alliance" required to support only true personhood legislation ? Apparently not. This demonstrates the difference between pro-life advocates who base their position on the Bible versus those who do not. Cleveland Right to Life apparently does not

The FAQs: New Government Rules Protect Conscience Rights in Health Insurance

By Joe Carter - Posted at The Gospel Coalition : What just happened? Earlier this week the Trump administration released two final rules to provide conscience protections for Americans who have a religious or moral objection to health insurance that covers contraception or abortifacients. The new rules—one religious-based exemption and one moral-based exemption—provide broad protections for individuals, organizations, and businesses that opposed the Obama administration’s contraceptive-abortifacient mandate because of their religious or moral beliefs. What exactly is this contraceptive-abortifacient mandate? Under the Affordable Care Act (often referred to as “Obamacare”), employer-provided health insurance plans are required to cover certain “preventative services”—which were defined through guidance by the Obama administration as including all contraception methods approved by the Food and Drug Administration, including abortifacients and sterilization procedures. A Not-So-Political Post

Posted at The Morning Center : One of the following things is true about you: You haven’t been on Facebook or Twitter AND you haven’t turned on a TV or radio in the last six months.  You’re aware there’s an election coming up next month. Since you’re reading a blog post, I’m going to assume you’re in group #2. Elections can be fun and crazy. Even when there’s no Presidential candidates at the top of the ticket the even year elections can cause quite a frenzy on social media and at dinner parties. People have a lot of passion about their candidates and issues and sometimes we find the conversations descending into arguments faster than a Ferarri gets to 60 MPH from a standstill. Because of that, you may be tired of talk of the election. You may be telling Facebook “show me more” of the cute baby and cat pictures while muting some of your friends on Twitter for the next 30 days. And you’re here, reading this post and thinking, “what have I gotten myself into now?” I don’t

Alabama Supreme Court Upholds Personhood of Unborn Babies; Calls for End of Roe v. Wade

By Michael Gryboski - Posted at The Christian Post : Alabama's highest court has recently released a decision that recognizes the personhood of unborn babies, and includes a concurrent opinion that calls for the overturning of Roe v. Wade. In the case of Jessie Livell Phillips v. State of Alabama , the Alabama Supreme Court upheld a murder conviction for a man who in 2009 killed his pregnant wife and their unborn child in a ruling released last week. Justice Michael Bolin, author of the court opinion, said in the ruling that since one of the victims of the 2009 homicide was an unborn baby, he felt an obligation to "expound" on why the court considered an unborn baby a "person." "... under the criminal laws of the state of Alabama, the value of the life of an unborn child is no less than the value of the lives of other persons. The trial court's additional commentary that this country is founded upon equal protection and due process for all

‘I’ve Picked Up Fetuses’: Former Stericycle Driver Confirms Medical Waste Giant’s Disposal of Aborted Babies

By Heather Clark - Posted at Christian News Network : A former driver for America’s largest medical waste company, Stericycle, confirmed in a recent interview with a pro-life organization that the entity does indeed dispose of the bodies of aborted babies despite the company’s claim that it does not, advising that he has personally witnessed workers at an abortion facility drop dead babies and baby parts into a medical waste container before handing it off to him for disposal. A video recently released by the Ohio-based group Created Equal provides audio footage of the driver, whose anonymity was maintained, outlining that he became concerned that he was hearing one thing from company representatives while seeing another on the job. “The most disturbing thing for me is [that] in that compliance meeting, this manager, he’s saying, ‘We do not haul fetuses. We don’t haul heads. We don’t haul torsos,'” the man explained. “[But] I have firsthand been into that clinic. I saw t

The Most Important Movie You’ve Never Heard Of

Earl Billings as Dr. Kermit Gosnell ( Hat Tip Films LLC) By Michelle Malkin - Posted at National Review : In 2013, Gosnell was convicted of murdering three babies born alive in his death factory and found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of 41-year-old Bhutanese refugee Karnamaya Mongar, who died of an inhumanely administered drug overdose at Gosnell’s “Women’s Medical Society.” Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer opens Friday. It’s here. Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer debuts in theaters nationwide on October 12. I do believe this groundbreaking film by indie producers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney is the most important movie in America right now — a true-life saga of good vs. evil, deadly medical malpractice, systemic government malfeasance, and cultural apathy toward the most vulnerable members of our society. I first reported on this real-life horror story nearly eight years ago, but you’ve probably not heard or

My Story – There IS Beauty for Ashes

By Katherine Marple - Posted at KeepLifeLegal : I was on my way to the abortion clinic with my mom. It’s been so long ago that I don’t remember the day of the week or what month it was; but I do remember that is was 1978. Isaiah 61:3 says, …..‘To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.’ When I found out I was pregnant, my mother told me that under no uncertain terms was I going to have a baby and live in her house. My grandmother (who lived with us) wouldn’t look at me. You’re smarter than this, they said. So I left. There’s not a lot of places a pregnant 17 year old girl can go who doesn’t have a job or a car. I ended up at my aunt’s house. I knew she would be empathetic because she loved children and had many of them. She might be able to talk my mother out of t

FDA shock: Abortion pill caused 22 deaths and a thousand hospitalizations

By Carole Novielli - Posted at Live Action News : At least 22 women have died after taking the abortion pill regimen, RU-486, and many others have experienced serious complications, according to updated data from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While abortion — and specifically, medication abortion — is sold to women as “safe,” there can be serious and life threatening complications from the abortion pill, as noted by the pills’ manufacturer, Danco. Although Danco is required to report any death associated with Mifeprex, women experiencing complications, various factors — such as not returning to the abortion provider or not reporting use of the drug to emergency personnel — may cause these numbers to seem lower than they actually are. The abortion lobby is pushing for easy access to the abortion pill on college campuses and some are even calling for it to be approved for home use. No doubt, we may never know how many women suffer serious complications or succumb to deat

The Odds of a Cell Forming Randomly by Chance Alone

By Mark Goodnight - Posted at Cyber Penance : My previous blog, DNA Points to Design , was about some fascinating information about DNA. Scientists have also determined another factor in how incredibly fine-tuned even a cell is. Stephen Meyer, in chapter 9 of his book Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design , entitled Odds and Ends, talks about the odds of a minimally complex cell coming into existence. As I have said elsewhere on this site, I’m a math guy, so when I read numbers, it really puts it in perspective for me. (I should note that Dr. Meyer’s book is actually very easy to read for the layperson (i.e. generally speaking, you and me), and covers the entire history of the scientific discovery of DNA and the cell, as well as his own inquiries and research into it.) On pg 205, he talks about how even a relatively short protein, of which cells are made of, in the range of “say, 150 amino acids”, that there are approximately 10^195 possible combinatio

Is the Battle for Stem Cells Over?

Human embryonic stem cells in cell culture - Wikipedia By Dr. Nathaniel T. Jeanson - Posted at Answers in Genesis : We haven’t heard much about stem cells lately. Why? The ethical use of human stem cells sparked an intense debate nearly 20 years ago. Since life and death were on the table, it’s no surprise that loud opinions and strong passions raged. The fires of controversy even reached the highest political office when, in 2001, pro-life President Bush restricted the use of federal funds for human embryonic stem cell research. Since then, the controversy has cooled and almost subsided. But not for the reasons you might expect. I’ve observed this debate closely, both as a lifelong pro-lifer and as a stem cell researcher, and I’ve been surprised at the trajectory this dispute has taken. Steadily but nearly imperceptibly, advocates of human embryonic stem cell research have effectively moved closer to the pro-life position. However, their shift has not been for reasons that pro

PPFA names new president but aura of scandal remains

Planned Parenthood has named Dr. Leana Wen as its new president but continues to carry its scandal-plagued reputation as the country's No. 1 abortion provider. Screen capture from YouTube By Tom Strode - Posted at Baptist Press: WASHINGTON (BP) -- Planned Parenthood has a doctor as its new president but continues to carry its scandal-plagued reputation as the country's No. 1 abortion provider. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) announced Wednesday (Sept. 12) the selection of Leana Wen as the sixth president in its century-long history. Wen has been health commissioner of the city of Baltimore for the last 3 1/2 years and becomes the first physician to head the organization in nearly 50 years. Wen, who succeeds Cecile Richards after her 12-year tenure, takes over Planned Parenthood three years after undercover videos were first released that provided evidence the organization was trading in body parts from aborted babies. The investigation by the Center of Medic

Prior to Roe, Abortion Legalization by State (1960’s and 1970’s)

Researched by Carole Novielli - Posted at  Saynsumthn's Blog: Prior to the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that forced abortion on the nation, abortion was illegal in a majority of states, except to save the life of the mother. At that time the decriminalization of abortion was left up to states to decide. Laws legalizing abortions by state began in the late 1960’s as follows: 1966: Mississippi allows abortion for rape In 1966, Mississippi altered its existing abortion law by adding rape as an indication for hospital abortion, according to the CDC’s first abortion surveillance report in 1969. 1967: Colorado becomes first state to decriminalize abortion further, followed by North Carolina and California On April 25, 1967, Colorado became the first state in the U.S. to decriminalize abortion, along the lines proposed by the American Law Institute (ALI.) The bill was introduced by then Representative Richard D. Lamm. According to the Associated Press : “On Ap
