Illinois: Pro-Life Rally and Lobby Day

State Capitol Rotunda

March 20, 2019, @ 1:30-4:00 PM
401 S. 2nd St.
Springfield, IL 62701

Dear Friends,

This coming Wednesday, March, 20, there will be a pro-life rally in the Rotunda of the Illinois State Capitol. This will also be a lobby day, so we ask you to join in lobbying against the anti-life bills before the legislature.

HB 2467--Repeals the Parental Notification of Abortion Act of 1995, which requires parental notification before a minor receives an abortion. Sponsored by Rep. Christ Emmanuel Welch (D-Westchester). A companion bill, SB 1594, sponsored by Senator Elgie Sims (D-Chicago) is schedule to be heard in the Senate Health Committee on Tuesday, March 19.

HB 2495--called the Reproductive Health Act, sponsored by Rep. Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago), repeals the 1975 Illinois Abortion Law, the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, and remove all regulations for clinics that do abortions. It also allows people other than doctors to do abortions, and removes the right of conscience act for all medical personnel, clinics, and hospitals. (SB 1942, sponsored by Senator Melinda Bush [D-Greyslake] is not yet scheduled for a hearing.)

Make sure you attend the lobby day to remind legislators of their responsibilities to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for these little ones who cannot speak for themselves.

If you are bringing a bus (or buses), you can call Mark Seger with the City of Springfield, 217-789-2255 to reserve a bus space. For more information you can call Illinois Family Institute at 708-781-9328.

He also would not say if the preborn baby has any constitutional rights. NBC’s Meet the Press aired the first extensive mainstream media interview with former President Donald Trump of the 2024 campaign.
