'Once again Governor Rauner disappoints! '

Editor's Note: After learning Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) had signed HB 40 into law in Illinois, I received this email from respected lobbyist Rev. Bob Vanden Bosch that explains the implications of HB 40 for Illinois citizens more thoroughly. - AW

Dear Friends,

Once again Governor Rauner disappoints! On Good Friday his office announced that he would veto HB 40, which publicly funds abortions, adds abortion to the Illinois insurance plan for employees, and keeps abortion until live birth the law of the land in Illinois even if Roe v. Wade is overturned!

This is a drastic change to longstanding Illinois policy! For years Illinois has not paid for abortions through tax-payer funding except for the life of the mother. Illinois citizens have never had to pay for abortions through the state employee health care plans. Surveys clearly show that 70-80% of Illinois citizens do not belief taxpayers should fund abortions. This legislation will require Illinois taxpayers somewhere around $20 million to pay to end the lives of thousands of innocent unborn children.

By signing HB 40, Governor Rauner has gone completely against the Illinois Republican Party platform. Please continue to pray for Illinois, our governor, our legislators. Our solid pro-life and pro-family legislators are under great pressure.

Thank you for your continued prayers during discouraging times like this. The work must continue. Thank you for your support! We remain in His Service!

Is Donald Trump Pro-Choice Again?

Posted at  American ProLifer: Published September 18, 2023 Asked whether he would support a 15 week abortion ban, Trump refused to answer. He also would not say if the preborn baby has any constitutional rights. NBC’s Meet the Press aired the first extensive mainstream media interview with former President Donald Trump of the 2024 campaign. The interview Kicked off the popular Sunday morning political show under a new host, Kristen Welker. During the interview, Welker peppered Trump with questions, often attempting to fact-check him with dubious claims of her own. On abortion, Ms. Welker took a decidedly pro-abortion position, presenting only the abortion lobby’s talking points and falsely “fact-checking” Trump by stating that Democrats do not support abortion until birth, which of course, they do.
